Description
Environmental Stress Cracking Apparatus (ESCR-93) is a device used to assess the resistance of plastic materials to environmental stress cracking (ESC). It exposes samples to controlled stress and environmental conditions to simulate real-world usage, helping predict material lifespan and performance.
As per ——- ASTM D1693
Environmental Stress Cracking Apparatus (ESCR-93)
This Apparatus Consists of the following :
- Stainless steel water bath heated to specify temperature, which is maintained by a Digital Temperature Controller cum Indicator.
- A stainless steel tray holds the Mega test tube containing Egapole Solution and test specimens inside the bath.
- Specimen nicking device.
- Specimen holder (U-channel)
- Specimens cutting die.
- The nicked specimens after stressing in a jig are inserted in the test Tubes filled with detergent
